  • Some recent activities on DIRHA dissemination:

    • DIRHA members (TUGraz, FBK) participated in the Automatic Speech Recognition and Understanding Workshop (ASRU 2013) held in Olomouc, Czech Republic, 8-12 December 2013.

    • DIRHA was mentioned by INESC-ID in the Human Brain Project workshop, June 2013.

    • Alberto Abad (INESC-ID) was invited to give a talk at the XI Encontro de Engenharia Biomédica entitled "Speech and language technologies applied to therapy and diagnosis", where the DIRHA project was mentioned as an example of application of technologies for augmentative and accesability of people with physical disabilities, November 2013.

    • DIRHA members (INESC-ID) attended the Mediaeval 2013 Workshop and presented a spoken term detection system, October 2013.

    • Proposals submitted for Organization of DIRHA Workshops and Special Sessions:
      - EUSIPCO 2014
      - InterSpeech 2014

    • DIRHA members (INESC-ID, FBK and TUGraz) participated in PASCAL-CHIME 2013 Challenge, a satellite event of ICASSP 2013.

    • DIRHA members (INESC-ID) participated in "Competition on speaker recognition in mobile environment using the MOBIO database" (http://www.beat-eu.org/evaluations/icb-2013-speaker-recognition-mobio) with similar technology to the one developed for DIRHA. There is a paper presented at the International Conference on Biometrics 2013 (http://atvs.ii.uam.es/icb2013/).

  • DIRHA has been presented by Maurizio Omologo (FBK) and Samuel Ramella (DomoticArea) inside the program "Meccatronica Lab" of Trentino Sviluppo. It was broadcasted on January 21 by RTTR, a local television. The episode can be seen here.

  • The eighth project meeting was held in Isera (TN), hosted by DomoticArea, 16-17 January 2013. Agenda and presentation slides can be found in the Members Area.

  • A portion of the simulated DIRHA corpus is available for free download at public level.
